Head of Asia Pacific Networks at the UN Global Compact visited CDT headquarter
On June 4, Ms. Liu Meng, Head of Asia Pacific Networks at the UN Global Compact, visited CDT headquarter and met with Liu Guangying, Vice President of CDT and exchanged?insights on lifting enterprise sustainable development ability and participating in Belt and Road construction.
Liu Guangying?extended welcome to Ms. Liu Meng and her delegation and briefed her on CDT’s history. He pointed out that China Datang?has been following closely Belt and Road Initiative and Going Global strategy, and actively participating in the construction of energy projects in countries along Belt and Road. This endeavor won wide acclaim from the local government and people for promoting prosperity of local economy and realizing the common sustainable development of overseas enterprises and host countries. CDT hopes to expand new ideas of building a world-class energy enterprise under the impetus of the UN Global Compact.
Liu Meng introduced the recent development, main responsibilities and membership of the UN Global Compact, as well as the work it has carried out to help all parties build cooperation and exchange platforms. She stated that UN Global Compact will deepen cooperation with CDT in the future in related fields, learn more about the needs and concerns of enterprises while they develop, help enterprises to contribute to society amid their growth, and jointly make efforts to achieve sustainable economic and social development.
CDT joined the UN Global Compact in May 2008 and submits progress reports annually in accordance with the requirements of the UN Global Compact.
