China Datang Corporation Ltd.?(China Datang) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Harbin Electric Corporation (HE)?in Harbin on Aug 11.

Zou Lei, chairman of China Datang, Cao Zhi'an, chairman of HE, and Wu Weizhang, president of HE attended the signing ceremony and exchanged views on deepening cooperation between the two sides to better contribute to China's goal of?peaking?its carbon?dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieving?carbon neutrality?by 2060.

China Datang and HE have maintained a sound cooperative relationship and enjoyed fruitful cooperation in such fields as thermal power, hydropower, and gas power. The strategic cooperation agreement is expected to help the two sides strengthen communication and expand and deepen their cooperation, so that they can contribute to the endeavor to peak carbon dioxide emissions and achieve carbon neutrality, the building of a new-type power system, and the high-quality development of the energy sector, Zou said. ??
