Zou Lei Holds Talks with Hitachi Executive Chairman Toshiaki Higashihara
Zou Lei, Chairman of China Datang, held talks with Toshiaki Higashihara, Executive Chairman and Representative Executive Officer of Hitachi, Ltd. at China Datang's headquarters in Beijing on Nov. 20. The two leaders engaged in in-depth discussions on a range of topics, including the application of technologies and equipment as well as cooperation in third-party markets.
Li Jianwei, Vice President of China Datang, Atsuhiro Aketa, Vice President and Executive Officer of Hitachi, and James Zhao, Executive Vice President and Region Head for Greater China, Hitachi Energy, were also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, Zou welcomed Higashihara's delegation and congratulated Hitachi on its successful reforms and strategic adjustments. He emphasized that China Datang is accelerating its transition to green and low-carbon development and is fully committed to its goal of growing into a world-class energy supplier.
Hitachi, a world-renowned leader in the development of energy and power technologies, has had a longstanding and close relationship with China Datang, resulting in fruitful cooperation between the two sides, Zou pointed out.
China Datang places high importance on its friendly cooperation with Hitachi, and hopes that the two sides will further strengthen communication and deepen cooperation in areas such as supply chains, the application of advanced technologies and equipment, and joint development of third-party markets, so as to share opportunities and create value together, Zou said.
Higashihara provided an overview of Hitachi's developments in such fields as energy, power, and digitalization during the meeting. Hitachi has been continuously expanding its business scope and is devoted to offering products with new value to its customers.
Hitachi is ready to deepen mutual trust and cooperation with China Datang, particularly in such areas as hardware products, artificial intelligence, and technology exchanges, according to Higashihara. Hitachi will make every effort to improve product quality and ensure service support, thus contributing to the high-quality development of China Datang.
Representatives from relevant departments of China Datang and other executives from Hitachi and its subsidiaries also attended the meeting.
